Twenty four members and prospective members
attended this year's meet. Three chose a low level walk from
the Spittle back to Ballater, one circumnavigated Loch Muick
with the remaining twenty joining the Presidents Party.
As might be expected the group soon spread
out and at the top of the land rover track it was agreed to
split into 2 groups, with the fastest 7 taking the lead.
The views were stunning, which with the
sun, no wind, no rain and no midges made up for the the lack of
snow.
All 20 reached the summit, from which
various descents were made. The main group of 13 descended by
the Glass Allt, visiting the bothy before returning to the bus.
After picking up those that had walked to
Ballater we were again provided with an excellent high Tea at
the Burnett Arms where we were joined by a further member that
could not make the bus.
As always a most enjoyable day out.
Many thanks to everyone for their company.
