Raeburn Hut, Laggan
15 - 17 October, 2010

On Friday October 15th, eleven Cairngorm Club members met up at the Raeburn Hut.  They were Joyce Ritchie, Marj Ewan, Eilidh Scobbie, Ken Thomson, Alec McMillan, Sandy McIntosh, Roger Houghton, Mike Hewitt, Jim Bryce, Sue Chalmers and Kevin Kilroy. Bill Morgan also arrived on Saturday to increase the numbers to twelve.
Eilidh, Marj and Joyce had been staying at Raeburn Hut since Wednesday as they were using it as a base for "The East Highland Way". However, having completed that, they were ready for a weekend of hillwalking.

Sue, Kevin and myself were up at 6am and set off for the south Loch Laggan hills. I was determined to suceed on this which was for one reason or another my 4th attempt to get to the top of Beinn a Chlachair.

Ken appeared in the sunshine and caught us slacking on top

We then parted company and Ken and myself headed down while Kevin and Sue headed for Creag Pitridh. I waited for Sue and Kevin who arrived back at the car half an hour after myself and Ken. We headed back and were spoilt by a lovely meal that eilidh had prepared.
