Nine Club
members and one guest spent the weekend at Forest Way bunkhouse. No-one
walked on Friday on the way to the meet but on Saturday everyone
was up and out fairly early for the hills with a poor day, if
the forecast was to be believed, in prospect.
Helen,
Stuart, Jamie and Izy, joined by Kevin who was staying in his
campervan nearby, set off for the Fannichs and had a wet day on
Sgurr Breac and A' Chailleach.
Mark, Jean
and Myra ascended the Corbett Beinn Enaiglair from Braemore
junction and stayed dry most of the day.
Myself,
Doris and Derek set off Beinn Dearg and Cona ’Mheall but were
forced to change our plans due to being unable to get across a
tributary of the River Lael cascading down the hillside. Instead
we headed for Eididh nan Clach Geala and had a successful day,
dry apart from the last 15 minutes, when it drizzled.
